Ivana Petrof at Miller Piano September 25, 2008


Ivana Petrof will be at Miller Piano on September 25, 2008 beginning at 7pm. Kim Deardorff will be playing. During the month of September, Ivana Petrof, fifth generation of the Petrof family, manufacturer of the famed Petrof Piano of Europe, will visit Petrof piano dealers throughout the United States. Ivana is the youngest daughter of Jan Petrof. Her sister Suzana and Ivana have taken over the leadership of the Petrof factory from their father. Ivana’s main duties are to coordinate dealer relationships in Australia, New Zealand, and  Indonesia as well as the United States. In her early years Ivana traveled to Austria, England and Canada to complete her education. Since 2006 she has managed the Petrof retail piano showrooms in Hradec Králové and Brno (the Moravian part of the Czech Republic). She also is responsible for coordinating meetings with the company’s business partners, technicians, performers, music schools and visitors from all over the world. Ivana wishes to continue the family tradition in piano building as well as to assist Petrof dealers all over the world in providing one of the finest pianos in the world to the end user. Petrof Piano of Europe will visit Petrof piano dealers throughout the United States. The Petrof Piano Company is the largest maker of pianos in Europe. The company began in 1864 in Hradec Králové, east of Prague, in the Czech Republic and for over 140 years has been continually manufacturing some of the finest pianos available to conservatories, schools, professionals and consumers. The Petrof piano is marketed in over 70 countries and is well known for its exquisite furniture styling as well as the beauty of its sound. Ivana Petrof will visit key Petrof dealers this month at receptions open to the public. The meetings will take place in various cities where Ivana will present excerpts of the colorful and interesting history of the Petrof family and the Petrof Piano. She will be available for questions and will greet attendees individually.
